FREESTYLE WORLD CUP: February 1-4, Deer Valley will host the 2012 FIS Freestyle World Cup event this season! Competitors from around the world will challenge each other and themselves on Deer Valley’s 2002 Olympic runs. The festivities will begin February 1, 2012 with an evening with Robert Randolph and the Family Band on Main Street in Park City! Wednesday, February 1 – Evening Entertainment ~ Lower Main Street. BRANT MOLES’ STEEP SKIING CAMP at Canyons Resort, Feb 3-5th.This 3-day clinic, led by World Extreme Skiing Champion, Brant Moles, will focus on getting you to ski steeper, more technical terrain safely and confidently.
FRIDAY NIGHT JIB FIGHTS: 4 pm at PCMR’s 3 Kings Lift. Brighton, Park City & Snowbasin are upping the Utah contest season ante this winter and partnering to find the top rail slayers in the state of Utah with the Friday Night Jib Fights Rail Jam series. Each resort will host 3 rail jams over the course of the 2011/2012 winter season, with a final event held in Park City. 10 YEAR OLYMPIC ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION: Park City Historic Main Street will come alive once again with a free concert on February 1 as part of the kick-off celebration for the Freestyle World Cup at Deer Valley Resort (February 2-4). Other Olympic sport competitions in Park City throughout the month of February include the US Snowboarding and Freeskiing Grand Prix (February 9-12) at Canyons Resort and the FIBT Skeleton Intercontinental Cup (February 6-11) at the Utah Olympic Park. In addition to the competitions, a number of Olympic-related activities, exhibits, athlete appearances, autograph sessions, receptions and community gatherings will happen throughout the month. Thanks to those that came to the dance on January 28th which allowed us to raise $100 for the Peace House. Thanks to Dance Tech for use of their awesome studio equipped with lasers, disco ball, fog machines and great sound and Rawson Simmons for DJing the event, Ray King for putting it together last minute, Shutterfly Photo Booth for the pictures, look for them to be posted on Party Rangers facebook wall soon!

V.I.P. BLACKOUT DANCE PARTY- Party Rangers’ SunDANCE last weekend was canceled and has been rescheduled as BLACKOUT night at Dance Tech Studios, 786 Division St.in Park City- come dressed in black, photo booth, DJ Raw- local Parkite will be over music, lasers and fog show, show up between 8:30-9 and get in for only $5, $7 after 9. 4-H ENVIRONMENTAL SCIENCE CLUB at Swaner Preserve and EcoCenter is for high school students (Grades 9-12) in Summit County. The Environmental Science Club will expose teens to their local environment, research and restoration projects occuring on the Preserve, and outdoor recreation activities. The goals of the club are to 1) enhance science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) education for teens, 2) provide teens with exposure to STEM careers and education pathways, 3) educate teens about their local environment, and 4) provide a fun learning environment in which teens can explore the great outdoors. This club will meet at least once per month. It is free to join, but there may be occassional costs associated with club activities. ROUND VALLEY ROUND UP NORDIC SKI RACE:The Roundup is a 5K, 20K, and 40K community based event designed to encourage skiers of all levels.The race will be a one or two lap event, easy up hill grades, fun downhills, and totally spectator friendly. Party Rangers’ SunDANCE!! was canceled last Saturday due to a BIG, awesome snow storm last weekend. We have rescheduled the dance and it is now: VIP BLACKOUT at Dance Tech Studios, 786 Division St, Park City on January 28th from 8:30-11:30 p.m. Come dressed to impress and/or wear black, get photos taken with Shutterbooth, DJ Raw. $5 before 9, $7 after. Part of proceeds benefit the Peace House in Park City. High School+ Freshman in College.
